We’re back to air our grievances
Today is December 23, better known as Festivus the holiday made up by George Costanza’s father, Frank.
WE’VE GOT A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE, AND NOW YOU’RE GOING TO HEAR ABOUT THEM.

Day kickoffs are the worst thing ever. This shouldn’t be a thing in Louisiana anymore. This ain’t about LSU’s night game tradition, have you been to Thibodaux for an early game? I went this year and it was MISERABLE. Both that Nicholls-Northwestern State game and the Tulane-USF game kicked at 11 a.m. In both games, there was no wind and no cloud cover to make up for the 90 degree heat and the humidity. Afternoon kicks for the Grambling-Alcorn State and Northwestern State-Lamar weren’t much more helpful beyond giving the sun a chance to go behind the stadium. No college game in Louisiana should kick before 5 p.m. The sun may not set all the way by the time it ends, but it will make life far less miserable.
Also, Alabama has a TERRIBLE parking map for Coleman Coliseum. Thanks to that, I had to walk 3 miles from where I parked just to get there. It was as bad as you think it was.

STOP WEARING ALTERNATE UNIFORMS!
Look, we don’t have to be Bama. I’m fine with the white helmet and pants twice a year to change things up a little bit, but things got out of control in 2024. In 14 games, LSU only wore the classic gold/white/gold combo SIX times! More than half the year we wore alternates!
I’m sorry, but I do not buy this excuse that the Bowl games are forcing us to wear purple. That was never a problem before. We should have the power to overrule that. I understand that when we’re on the road we don’t have a choice if the home team wears white, but that wasn’t the case for any of these games. I am sick and tired of my team looking like the Furman Paladins.
If you want LSU to dress differently every time they compete, just wait a few more weeks for gymnastics season. We’re almost there.

I am so sick of how openly corrupt the media apparatus is surrounding the playoff. They know that only 2-3 teams can actually win in any given year, but push expansion as a way to give non-traditional powers an opportunity and let the games decide everything rather than hypotheticals and shady selection. If you recall, that was the whole “problem” with the BCS and is a great way of getting the public to sign on, even as the playoff has sucked the life out of the entire rest of the sport. It’s diminished the regular season, destroyed conferences/rivalries, destroyed bowl season, and made everything about a national title that only about a dozen programs are even capable of accessing. When they get their wish, which is ultimately about creating more games to make more money, they pull the rug and argue we should put 3 loss Alabama teams in because SMU gets blown out by Penn State (because Alabama makes more money than SMU).
No shit they got blown out! But if it were really about minimizing blowouts and only giving the teams with proper talent and status the chance to play for a title, we’d still use the BCS. The best system is where smaller programs like SMU or Indiana or Tennessee aren’t forced to care about the national title. This entire process runs like Russian government and eventually the committee will cave or continue to expand to the point of destroying the regular season relative to what it once was to feed TV megaliths that are already fat and happy.

Coming from someone who plans her gameday outfits weeks (sometimes months) in advance, can we PLEASE stop obsessing over what these guys are wearing? All whites, banana yellow, purple retro, hell, give them some polka dots, I do not care! It has no bearing on what’s actually important- winning. Let the kids have fun and quit yelling at clouds!
Also, it’s extremely embarrassing to be talking smack on social media to a recruit who didn’t choose us. Why are some fans bullying a high school kid who is just trying to make a huge decision that will affect the rest of their life? STOP IT!

Sorry Deanna, but I got a lotta problems with your take, and now you’re gonna hear about it!
I hate all the alternate uniforms! Look, we don’t have to be Bama. I’m fine with the white helmet and pants twice a year to change things up a little bit, but things got out of control in 2024. In 14 games, LSU only wore the classic gold/white/gold combo SIX times! More than half the year we wore alternates! Our white at home tradition is one of the best in college football and it’s extremely lame that we’re moving away from that, ESPECIALLY when it’s not even purple and gold we’re wearing.
Also, everyone needs to relax about the expanded Playoff. It’s fine. If a single quarterfinal game next week is exciting, then it was worth it. The blowouts last weekend were a bummer, but I still preferred it to watching all these teams play bowl games with half their starters sitting out due to the Draft or transfer portal. The day a team is crowned champion that doesn’t deserve it is the day I will be mad about the Playoff, and I have a hard time seeing that happen under this current format.
