Morrow recognized as the nation’s best power forward
If there was any doubt about it, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame made the sentiment official: Aneesah Morrow is the best power forward in women’s college basketball.

Morrow was named the winner of the Katrina McClain Award, given annually to the best power forward. She is the first Tiger to ever win the McClain and the first Tiger to win a national individual award since Temeka Johnson won the Liberman (best point guard).
“It is an immense honor to receive the Katrina McClain Award, a testament to the perseverance, passion, and dedication that basketball has instilled in me,” Morrow said. “To stand on the shoulders of giants and be recognized for this award is a humbling reminder that dreams, no matter how ambitious, are always within reach.”
While she was only here for two seasons, Morrow is certainly one of the best players in program history. Morrow was a two-time All-SEC selection and recorded 52 double-doubles, third most in program history, as a Tiger. She led LSU in scoring this season (18.7 points per game) and was the nation’s leading rebounder (13.5 per game).
Morrow was one of the greatest rebounders in NCAA history. Her 1,714 boards is the third most in history, finished top-25 in career points scored (2,852), and her 104 career double-doubles is the second most ever.
