DUUUUUVAL
Brian Thomas Jr.’s wait is over.
The former Tiger wide receiver was selected 23rd overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s the third Tiger to hear his name called in the 2024 NFL Draft; Jayden Daniels went 2nd to Washington and Malik Nabers went 6th to the New York Giants.
A former two-sport star at Walker High, Thomas had a career year last season. Thomas led the nation in touchdown receptions with 17 and was a Biletnikoff semifinalist. He also earned third-team All-American honors and second-team All-SEC.
WIth Daniels, Nabers, and Thomas all going in the first round it marks the fourth time that LSU has had three or more first round selections in a draft. The last time LSU achieved that feat was the 2020 draft when five Tigers went in the first round.
